Michael Robotham
A naked woman in red high-heeled shoes is poised on the edge of Clifton Suspension Bridge, weeping into a mobile phone. Psychologist Joseph O'Loughlin is only feet away, desperately trying too tall her down. She whispers "you don't understand" and jumps. Later Joe has a visitor- the woman's teenage daughter. She refuses to believe that her mother would have jumped off the bridge; not only would she never commit suicide, she was also afraid of heights. Joe wants to believe her, but how could a woman be driven to such a desperate act? And who might drive her to it?
Professor Joesph O'Loughlin is lecturing at a university, when class finishes he is walking along talking to another Professor, when a police officer arrives asking for assistance, as a woman is stood naked on top of a bridge threatening too jump. He arrives at the scene and tries too communicate with the woman, but she is on a mobile phone, she turns too look at Joe and whispers "you don't understand" and jumps.
From then on another woman is killed in the same way, time is running out for the Professor too crack the case and stop these horrendous acts....
