Celebrity Big Brother 2012

The winner:

Denise Welch

Denise Welch said she will never understand Michael Madsen following their tempestuous relationship in the Celebrity Big Brother house.
The Loose Women star, 53, was last night crowned the winner of this year's series but couldn't help taking one last swipe at the Hollywood actor.
She looked shocked and screamed 'No!' when she learned that she had beaten bookies favourite Frankie Cocozza to the prize.

She's a winner. Denise Welch did her trademark bra flashes after winning celebrity big brother.

As she left the Elstree compound to the sounds of Flo Rida's hit Good Feeling, the married mother-of-two couldn't help doing her trademark bra flash.
But it was her inability to get on with Michael Madsen that became the focus of her post-house interview.
Presenter Brian Dowling said: 'You had some constant battles with Michael, Denise we're still not sure what was going on.'
To which she replied: 'Brian, you tell me because 'til the day I die I will not understand that man. I'm a pathetic people pleaser but I've learnt that I can't please everyone.'

Brian Dowling congratulates Denise after her win.

Denise Welch is interviewd by Brian Dowling.

She went on to explain that she believed the pressure of being in the house together was a factor in the twosome almost constantly being at loggerheads with one another.
Denise said: 'Some of the best laughs I had in the house were with Michael when we were talking - it's made my learn that not everyone is gonna like me.
'If we'd not been together in a house, maybe we would've maybe had a laugh - it's just the unpredctability of Michael. I tried to chip away at him and find out why he felt this way about me... didn't work!'

Frankie and Denise await the results.

A shocked Denise has just been announced the winner.

Meanwhile the Hollywood actor had his own take on their falling outs.
Before Brian could even finish his first question about the Loose Women star, Michael joked: 'Can you ask security to keep her away from me?'
He added: 'I couldn't really tell what she was after ... she was definitely after me.'
Asked whether he thought Denise fancied him, the Donnie Brasco actor replied: 'I don't know, I don't know. I tried to stop thinking about it at some point.

Denise, reacts too seeing footage off her hot tub antics.

He also insisted he had attempted to be conciliatory after their rows, and claimed: 'I tried to make peace, but she wasn't having it.'
Dowling also pressed Denise on her argument with Nicola McLean after the famous pantsgate incident with twin Karissa.
Addressing the argument, Denise said: 'To be honest, I said to Nicola, I meant what I said, I regretted the way I said it.
'Because I bottled everything up, but a few sherries later, it came out.'

Georgia, Kirk, Natalie and Nicola react too the news that Denise has won.

Of course Denise was also made privy to her shameless dip in the hot tub with Frankie Cocozza.
The former Coronation Street star looked embarrassed as she was shown footage of the topless session with the disgraced X Factor singer.
Perhaps she felt uncomfortable because her father was in the audience.
She admitted: 'I did regret it later. But it was Frankie and Kirk... Having those two naughty boys in there was brilliant. I thought they should benefit from being with an older woman in a hot tub.'
Before Denise had her time to shine, bookies' favourite to win, Frankie Cocozza took his turn in the hot seat.

Denise hesitated at the bottom of the stairs as voiceover Marcus Bentley had to tell her to leave several times

The singer, who was axed from the X Factor after boasting of his drug taking antics, looked pleased with second place.
Following his spectacular downfall on last year's X Factor, the Brighton wannabe thought he would be one of the first to leave the house.
He admitted he wore his sunglasses on during his eviction to hide his tears because he was so emotional - not to appear 'rock n roll'.
He said: 'I was expecting to go in and leave after four days. It went better than I thought.'
When asked which housemate he didn't like, Frankie said: 'I don't wanna say if he's out there... I don't like you Andrew (Stone).'

Second place, Former X Factor star Frankie Cocozza looked please too be in second place.

Welch's triumph came after actor Michael Madsen and Playboy models Karissa and Kristina Shannon were the first housemates to be evicted in the final.
The twins - who were counted as one housemate - ended up in fifth place behind Denise.
Former rugby player Gareth Thomas - a former bookies' favourite to win the show - and Reservoir Dogs star Madsen ended up in third and fourth place respectively.

Frankie said he was wearing shades in case he cried.

After learning they had been evicted, one of the twins predicated: 'They're gonna boo like f**k.'
When the doors opened, the blondes were besieged with a barrage of boos.
After being announced by Brian Dowling, the baying crowd then shouted: 'Off, off, off.'

Gareth Thomas and Michael Madsen, ended up in Third and Fourth place.

During their exit interview, they made no apologies about their confidence, which Brian suggested could be seen as arrogance.
Karissa replied: 'We just know we're very popular... They probably think we're arrogant but we don't care. We wanna inspire other young women to be confident in themselves.'
Despite previous declarations they wanted to win the show, the twins insisted they didn't mind coming fifth.

Karissa (left) and Kristina Shannon were the first to be voted out in the Celebrity Big Brother final

Karissa said: 'We're so nervous. We feel like everybody won who made it to the final.'
Throughout the interview, Karissa - in the pink - did most of the speaking.
When asked about her argument with Denise after the actress pulled down her pyjama bottoms, Karissa said: 'I'm happy with the way I handled it. I stood up for myself.'
Back for the live final were all former housemates Andrew Stone, Natasha Giggs, Georgia Salpa, Kirk Norcross, Natalie Cassidy, Nicola McLean and Romeo.

The twins reaction to finding out they are the first to leave.

Earlier in the show, the winners of the Celebrity Big Brother 2012 Awards were unveiled to the remaining housemates before the live evictions.
Karissa and Kristina were dismayed to find out Romeo had beaten them to the title of Sexiest Housemate.
They complained: 'Come on, we're Playmates!'

Frankie and Denise say goodbye too Gareth.

The twins say goodbye too Gareth and Denise after being voted off the show.

As they accepted the award on Romeo's behalf, they said they should have won it instead.
But Denise pointed out Romeo was 'beautiful inside as well as out' - perhaps in a nod to their bitchy behaviour on the show.
Frankie ended up winning Best Hair, despite the twins declaration that 'it looks like Frankie killed a possum, dragged it through the forest and glued it to his head'.

In the pink: Former housemates Georgia Salpa, Natasha Giggs and Nicola McLean all wore pink dresses

Popular: Natalie Cassidy and Kirk Norcross were received well by the crowd

Here's the boys: Rapper Romeo and Andrew Stone received cheers and boos respectively

My Analysis:

Did the right person win?

Absolutely, I am so thrilled that Denise was crowned the winner off Celebrity Big Brother 2012. After everything that was thrown at her in there, she still held her dignity and respect and held her head up high. That too me is deserving off winning.

Celebrity Big Brother 2012
Fifth Eviction

Double Eviction Night.

First to be evicted from the Big Brother House;

Nicola Mclean

Nicola McLean was voted out of the Celebrity Big Brother house in the first of tonight's double eviction.
The former page 3 model had been widely tipped to leave the show and exited the house to a chorus of boos.

Her interview with host Brian Dowling was punctuated with chants of 'Off! Off! Off!' from the studio audience. She admitted: “I expected it (the boos) I guess it’s because I’m a blonde with big boobs."
Asked whether she was disappointed not to make the final, she added: "I missed my family so much and I was slowly losing the plot."
In the house today, Nicola said that since Kirk and Natalie had been surprisingly voted out earlier this week, she could not predict who would go next

Nicola had been involved in a noisy row with Denise Welch, and then yelled to Big Brother that she wanted to leave the house. The pair patched things up today, however.
A seventh housemate will leave the house later tonight with the final taking place on Friday night.

Second to be evicted from the Big Brother House was:

Romeo Dunn

Romeo Dunn tonight became the seventh person to be evicted from the Celebrity Big Brother house.
The former So Solid Crew rapper enjoyed a relatively quiet time in the house but was voted out in the second of tonight's double evictions.

In his exit interview with CBB host Brian Dowling, Romeo said: “Walking out to a good reception, I just felt blessed.”
Earlier tonight, Nicola McLean was voted out of the Celebrity Big Brother house. The former page 3 model had been widely tipped to leave the show and exited the house to a chorus of boos.
It means Playboy bunny twins Karissa and Kristina Shannon, who were the hot favourites for the boot, survive till Friday's final.
While talking to Michael Madsen today, when the housemates thought only one of their number would leave, Romeo had predicted it would either be Nicola or the twins.

Romeo went out on a high having won today's task, where housemates were blindfolded and asked to find a cinema ticket buried in flour. Romeo took just four seconds and was rewarded with a screening of The Hangover, together with his chosen guest Frankie Cocozza.

My Analysis:

So did the right housemates get evicted?

Am going too shock myself here and say "No they didn't". I have too say like many others after what happened between Nicola and Denise I really want her too be evicted, but looking back now I can see how the twins manipulated her and basically in my eyes used her too get more votes, so that they would be saved and through to the finals. Nicola seems a very nice, genuine person and I hope that both her and Denise can have a relationship outside the house. They would definatley get on like a house on fire on a girly night out :)

I have too say that when Brian Dowling called out Romeo's name I thought that he was taking the piss and "having a laugh". Was very shocked too see Romeo be voted out and not through too the finals. I think he was one of the most genuine, down to earth people in the house.

Celebrity Big Brother 2012
Fourth Eviction

DOUBLE EVICTION NIGHT.

First to be evicted from the big brother house was:

KIRK NORCROSS

Kirk Norcross has become the fourth housmate to be evicted from the celebrity Big Brother House.

The Only Way Is Essex Star was named as the first victim of tonight's double eviction after finishing bottom  of an eight way public vote.

Upon hearing the news, Norcross enthusiastically leapt to his feet and hugged his close friend Cocozza.

Saying that he was looking forward to reuniting with his girlfriend, the nightclub promoter told the group "Don't worry, Don't worry, everyone just keep it going".

Norcross left the house to a largely positive reception and waved at audience members as he met host Brian Dowling.

Speaking to Dowling afterwards, Norcross said that he wasn't too sad to be leaving the competition.

"I was ready to go because it was an emotional roller coaster and it was at the best height today, everyone was getting on with everyone, but there are far better people in the house that deserve to win".

Norcross denied that he ever wanted a long term relationship, with fellow housemate Georgia Salpa, even revealing that he had chosen to make up with his former girlfriend.

Discussing his behaviour around Georgia, he said "that's what I do, I flirt. If you really want a girlfriend you play it cooler, your not just like "kiss me"! I wanted to have a laugh.

Second to be evicted from the big brother house was:

NATALIE CASSIDY

Celebrity Big Brother has seen its fifth housemate leave, after Natalie Cassidy received the lowest number of votes.

Upon hearing the news from host Brian Dowling, Natalie grinned and clapped her hands excitedly before moving too say her goodbyes too fellow housemates.

The housemates and viewers were surprised by Natalie's eviction as she had been one off the bookies favourites too win the show.

Hours before the eviction, Natalie admitted she was beginning to get competitive and hoped she would not leave the house before the Shannon Twins.

The actress left the house excitedly waving at the audience and received a huge cheer from the crowd.

Speaking to Brian Dowling, Natalie said "I can't lie, I am shocked. However when Kirk went I thought "I am going too".

"Id like to have made the final, I did two weeks which is two thirds of the show. I've missed my daughter really badly"

"But its a win-win, I get to see my daughter"

My analysis:

So are the two housemates that left the right ones to go?

NO..................................................

I think that both Kirk and Natalie, were valid members of the house and should not have even been nominated in the first place to be up for eviction.

I really wanted the Shannon Twins and Michael Madsen to be evicted, my reasons for this are, the twins do absolutely nothing in the house, they don't even know how to say "thank you" when someone has cooked them a meal, plus they are too bitchy behind peoples backs.

Were can I start with Michael..... He is nothing but a grumpy, bad tempered old man, who has no clue how to socialize or show woman respect, the way he has spoken too and treated Denise is absolutely disgusting, also the way he humiliated her on live tv by saying she was "emotionally disturb" was below the belt.

Lets just hope neither off these make it to the final, or even worse win it!!!!

Man Arrested Over Saddam Statue Butock

A 66-year-old man has been arrested over claims a buttock from a Saddam Hussein statue was illegally brought back to the UK after the Iraq War.

Detectives from Derbyshire Police said the man was detained on suspicion of breaching the 2003 Iraqi Sanctions Order.
The order governs the importation of "Iraqi cultural property" - including items of archaeological, historical or religious importance.
The buttock - a 2ft lump of bronze - was saved from being melted down as scrap metal by 52-year-old former SAS soldier Nigel 'Spud' Ely after he witnessed Saddam's statue being toppled by US Marines in Baghdad in 2003.
It is understood that the arrested man is connected to Derby-basedwar art relic company Trebletap, which is attempting to find a buyer for the souvenir on behalf of Mr Ely.
As well as expressing shock at the arrest, Mr Ely described the Iraqi authorities' claim to be rightful owners of the bronze as "like the Elgin Marbles with attitude".
The London-born veteran, who lives in Herefordshire, recovered the memento of Saddam's downfall while working alongside a TV crew in April 2003 and unsuccessfully tried to auction it off in aid of injured troops last year.
Describing the furore surrounding the buttock as farcical, Mr Ely questioned how a piece of metal from a statue put up by a dictator could be classified as national cultural property. The ex-soldier asked: "How can it be classed as cultural property when it was put up by the biggest tyrant since Attila the Hun?"
Derbyshire Police said the man had been detained on suspicion of breaching Section 8 of the Iraqi Sanctions Order 2003, but had since been released on bail pending further inquiries.
Mr Ely, who recovered the 24lb piece of bronze with the help of US Marines, believes Iraqi officials decided to demand the return of the war relic after seeing media coverage of its value - placed at around £250,000.
"American Marines gave it to me and at that time Baghdad was under American control," he said.
"There wasn't even an Iraqi government and I have since turned it into a piece of war relic art. This is like having a chunk of the Berlin Wall - it's part of history but it's not cultural property."
Police have also interviewed Mr Ely about the statue and requested that he sign a document warning him that if he sold or defaced the buttock he could face prosecution.

Life For Killer Mum Who Hid Baby Son's Body

A woman who murdered her toddler son and concealed his mummified body has been jailed for life.

Kimberley Hainey, 37, was found guilty by a majority verdict last month of murdering her son Declan at a flat in Bruce Road, Paisley, Renfrewshire.
Declan Hainey was found in a 'mummified state' after neglect by his mother Kimberley
Declan Hainey was last seen alive when he was 15 months old
She was also convicted of failing to report Declan's death to police or other authorities and of concealing his body at the flat.
A jury was told how Hainey had left Declan alone for "excessive" periods of time and failed to provide him with adequate nourishment and fluids.
On Wednesday, the Crown Office released photographs which showed rooms in the flat piled with rubbish.
One showed what appeared to be a travel cot or playpen filled with empty plastic bottles and debris while others showed apparently mouldy milk bottles.
At the High Court in Glasgow, Hainey was handed the life sentence and told she will spend a minimum of 15 years behind bars.
Hainey was also sentenced to seven years for attempting to defeat the ends of justice, which will run concurrently with the 15 years.
The court heard how Declan's body was "mummified" when it was found in March 2010.
Sentencing her, Lord Woolman said: "Declan's first birthday took place in April 2009, he appeared to have all his life in front of him.
"He was surrounded by a loving family and people thought you were a loving mother. A few months later he was dead."
You were Declan's carer. You did not allow others to get close to him. Instead you isolated him from your family, your neighbours, your friends and from the welfare services. None of them thought that Declan's life was at risk. You engineered that situation.
Lord Woolman, sentencing Hainey to life in prison
The cause of Declan's death is not known but he is said to have last been seen alive when he was 15 months old.
His body was discovered at the flat on March 30, 2010, when he would have been 23 months old. Experts said he had been dead for several months.
Hainey pretended her son was being cared for by family members or that he was at nursery, fooling people into believing he was still alive.
Sentencing Hainey, Lord Woolman told her: "You were Declan's carer. You did not allow others to get close to him. Instead you isolated him from your family, your neighbours, your friends and from the welfare services.
Squalid scene inside the Paisley flat
Declan's body was found in the squalid flat in Paisley, Renfrewshire
"None of them thought that Declan's life was at risk. You engineered that situation."
He added: "You embarked on a systematic and elaborate course of conduct to prevent people knowing, or suspecting, that Declan was dead.
"It was a lengthy course of deceit that prevented proper inquiries being made."
He said that Declan's death had a "devastating effect" on the family.
The judge acknowledged that Hainey had struggled with drink and drugs and that her son's death was a "huge tragedy" for her, as she said she loved the boy "more than anything in the world".
The Crown is considering whether a Fatal Accident Inquiry (FAI) should be held into Declan's death.
A Scottish Government spokesman said: "The death of Declan Hainey was an appalling tragedy and these shocking images simply underline the dreadful suffering he was forced to endure."
I think that this is absolutely outrageous, How could no one off not known what had happened too her baby, surely there must have been a unknown smell coming from her flat? Or maybe this was covered up by the unhygenic way that she lived.
I am glad that justice has been done for the poor baby that tragically lost his life, may he finally be able too rest in peace, gone but never forgotten x
